Iodine: test for starch sim
Add iodine solution to the prepared food sample.
Iodine · test for starch · covers the GCSE, IGCSE, O-Level topic
What the sim shows
Add iodine solution to the prepared food sample. A blue-black result shows starch; iodine stays brown-yellow when starch is absent. Compare the sample with a known starch control. The displayed drop count is a teaching sequence, not a quantitative starch assay.
- Left: chosen sample. Right: known starch control. Both receive the same iodine.
