Exercise and heart rate: take the pulse sim
Set the exercise with a metronome on a step, count the pulse for 15 s at the wrist, record resting, straight-after and recovery readings in an empty table, plot them with a best-fit curve, and plan a fair test.

What the sim shows
Model: an illustrative 15-year-old. Resting about 72 bpm (Person B, who trains often, about 56), with a few bpm of day-to-day scatter. During exercise the rate rises toward a target set by the activity (step-ups faster with the metronome); after it, it falls back over a few minutes. Pulse = beats in 15 s × 4. Values illustrative, from memory. Nothing moves on its own.
- The metronome's weight: drag it up (slower) or down (faster) to set the step-up rate
- Stopwatch, tally counter and finger sensor: tap them to count or read the pulse
